The room sat silent. No one had been in it since the night before. The one half was perfect , but empty of anything that could have had any kind of emotional attatchment. The bed had no blankets or pillows. The drawers of the dresser were empty and the desk and endtable had nothing on them. The other side may as well have been the polar opposite. Several oversized pillows lay piled on the bed next to two heavy blankets that seemed locked in a never-ending fight over the bed. A pile of stuffed animals lay scattered about. The Dresser was crammed with clothing, and the desk was overflowing with books and paper. The endtable had a mini-fridge that sat beneath it, and a microwave and coffee-machine on top of it. The floor had a few odds and ends on it, magazines and comics, as well as a few pieces of clothing that had been quickly dropped that morning.

The silence was quickly broken as the door swung open and one the room's occupants rushed in.

"Ah! Sorry sorry! The rooms a mess! I'm always trying to keep this place clean but it never seems to stay that way....eh...here let me clean up a bit."

Maika proceeded to try feebly to clean the disaster her room had become. As she did she took great care to not touch a thing on the other side of the room. Not that there was much to distub, but she didn't want to ruin anything. She wanted it all to be just the way the other girl had left it....

Her heart skipped a beat as she suddenly realized who had been Maika's roommate. In her general state of mind, it was understandable that she would have forgotten such an important fact. Yet, Setsuka still berated herself for it. Suddenly, she was more than hesitant in entering, however Maika didn't seem to notice her unease and barged straight through the door.

The sight that greeted her was not hissing shadows and dark eyes, but more like a wave of mess and...well, stuff. One side unmade, the other not. It wasn't difficult to guess who lived on which side of the room; a variety of soft toys occupied the floor while the desk seemed to be drowning in a sea of paper and other forms of study and leisure. Maika sure seemed to know how to personalize the room, that was certain.

Setsuka's mind briefly flashed to her own; devoid of any sort of items scattered about that would name it hers, but clothes hung on her chair and the pill bottle lay uselessly in the trash can. Thrown out a long time ago, but she never had the nerve to chuck it away forever. Being without that item was like losing an organ; she couldn't live without it.

"Ah! Sorry sorry! The rooms a mess! I'm always trying to keep this place clean but it never seems to stay that way....eh...here let me clean up a bit."

She opened her mouth to voice her assurance that she really didn't mind, but quickly swallowed her words when she noticed how Maika was acting. Strangely avoiding the 'clean' side, there was an invisible line she could not see. Perhaps, an invisible bond she could not severe either...

And maybe, she would have to familiarize herself with envy sooner than she thought.

Finally, Setsuka inhaled sharply, stepping carefully into Maika's area into a safe spot, "It's fine, I've seen worse." Her tone was carefree, not unlike how it was previously, and her strange grin was back in place. "Do you need any help?"

Maika stopped her frenzied attempts at tidying up the mess and turned back to face Setsuka. Never before had she had another person in her room, and the need to try and make things look nice had overwhelmed her for a few moments. Well...there was Soil....but Maika tried not to think about that. A part of her was completely sure she'd come back someday...that one morning she'd just be there again. And that until then, she just needed to keep everything the way it was, just needed to keep going. Sure, she knew that this might just be denial, but she needed it right now.

"Oh...sure! Sorry, I'm not used to having people in the room."

Truth be told, Maika just really didn't want to come back to this empty room. It was a little selfish, but she couldn't think of any other reason to keep Setsuka close. At times it felt like she was doing something bad to her friend, like she should feel guilty for what she was doing. Luckily, the mood she was in right then took away any doubts. That rush of happiness that filled her washed everything else away, like a cleansing rain. It had always been like that, and Maika loved that feeling. It felt like she was on top of the world. And as eh looked at Setsuka, she could help but begin to emanate this feeling. Unknown to her, she began to radiate the emotion outward till even through the walls, had she been able to see thorugh them, other began to be affected as well.

She just couldn't help it. The night before she had cried till there were no tears left. Even earlier today she had cried...after she'd learned Setsuka would be leaving...and after...what she'd done. So much sadness for girl who had cried only two other times in her life. So now she clung to the happiness like a life-line.

Smiling she pulled the pot from her coffee machine and held it out to Setsuka.

"Well....can you get some water from the sink in the bathroom for the hot cocoa? I need to change anyways."

She bit her lip again, an impossible occurrence for twice in one day, but she did it without thinking. It was a habit she had picked up from a previous acquaintance, and when nerves slapped her, she would turn back to it. It didn't help, as most habits were near useless, but it was a sort of condolence. That she was still here, alive and well, and that if she didn't grab hold of the pot soon, Maika would think she was mental.

"Yeah...yeah, okay." Thankfully, the bedrooms held no variety, and she took the object from the other girl with a nod, padding her way towards the bathroom. Her movements were slightly mechanical, and as she touched the cold doorknob of the bathroom, she could feel the ice seep through her palm. But it was happening to someone else; a far cry from instantaneous as she pushed it open to step inside.

Ah...

As she turned on the tap, Setsuka took a look at the mirror...and froze.

Was that the grin she had been wearing all this time?

It was silly, and lopsided. But while she had thought it to be genuine, it did not reach the steel blue depths of her eyes. Not even close. Brown hair hung in individual threads against her shoulder, clothes ruffled, cheeks stained red. She looked like a mess, and far beyond. Suddenly, she thrust her hands under the warm water, leaving the pot against the side of the sink as she splashed her face forcefully.

She wanted to wash it all away; the falseness of it all. What was she doing here? Maika wanted her here, but did she want to be here, really? It was a choice between wanting, and decency. After such a scene, it wasn't appropriate to be so near her companion, especially since she was well-aware that Soil had probably stood in this very same spot.

Setsuka didn't hate her, but she was a far-cry from liking either.

After a good few minutes of rubbing her face vigorously, Setsuka groped around for a face-cloth before rubbing the fabric against her cheek, serving the fuel the red rawness on her skin as she pushed the cloth to one side, hands grappling for the pot that had gotten wet from her previous self-cleansing.

Once she had filled it up with water, she glared at her reflection once again before exiting the bathroom. With the pot grasped tightly with one hand, she shut the bathroom door gently, turning without a second thought.

When Setsuka left the room, Maika started to hum softly, a smile still etched on her face. It was so nice to have someone here again! Maika had always been able to come home to someone, usually her mother, and on occations, her father as well. She'd been homeschooled most of her life, so coming to this place was the first great adventure of her life. She had been pretty worried and even a little scared when she'd first arrived, but since then she had met so many wonderful people and made such great friends. And she'd always had someone here when she got home....

That thought tooka little wind from her sails...as she looked again over to the empty bed. There wasn't anythign she could do about it, god knew where Soil was now and even if she knew, she doubted there was anything she could do to get her back. Knowing Soil she would probably tell Maika to stop worrying about her and find something else to do.

Oh right! She needed to get the cocoa! She gently took those thoughts from her mind and carefully put them away. She would have time to mull that over later, right now she had a guest! And it was Setsuka too! Again she started humming again as she began to sift through her desk drawers. They had to be in here somewhere! As much as she didn't like the idea, Maika knew she HAD to clean soon. It looked like a hurricane had come through here!

Aha! She triumphantly pulled a box of hot cocoa mix from the depths of the desk and held it over her head like a trophy. As she put it down on the endtable next to the coffee-maker, she felt another sneeze starting to rise up in her nose. ACHOO! Shoot...her whole body was still cold and wet. Digging around in her dresser she pulled out a set of PJ's, light blue, her favorite color! She stripped out of her wet clothes and donned the PJ's. Just as she was putting her old clothes into the laundry basket she heard the door to the bathroom gently close behind her. Still humming she turned and smiled at Setsuka.

"Ah! Thank you! Here, lets get the water heated up ok?"

As she looked, she saw the reddnes of Setsuka's face and how wet her hair was. Damnit! Setsuka was probably feeling just as cold and miserable as she was! And so she acted without thinking again, letting th ejoy of the moment decide her words for her.

"Here, give me that."

She took the pot and put in on the machine, setting the timer for 5 minutes, more than enough time to heat the water within.

"I'm going to go wash up a little too ok? There should be another set pajamas in the top drawer there if you want something else to wear, I don't mind at all if you borrow them!"

And before Setsuka could say anything she slipped by and into the bathroom.

OOC: Last post, then I'm off. Night~

She was greeted at the door by a somewhat blue Maika, as said girl took the pot from her. Pajamas...that didn't make much sense at all, but the clothing the other was wearing was fit for sleeping, and judging by what the other had said to her, she wanted her to wear Maika's clothes? Before she could point out the difference in height, her companion had already waltzed herself into the bathroom and shut the door.

Before she could stop herself, she had already started to wonder what it would be like to actually have Maika as a roommate. Would everyday be filled with light and happiness, or was there a smaller, angrier side that she had only barely witnessed today? It was a thoroughly confusing thought, but Setsuka filed that away for later pondering.

Wandering across to grasp at the free towel strewn on the chair, she started to mindlessly dry her hair one strand at a time, again asking herself if she should stay, or leave. After the customary drink, and maybe some mindless chatting, but nothing was going to happen. She stopped herself right there.

Did everything seem to have to have a reason? Was there no point in casual conversation anymore? A lot of things Setsuka did impacted her life, and she always calculated her actions to the point of perfection, to avoid unnecessary conflict and avoidable consequences. Even so, today had been one of the days where she had simply allowed those doubts to slip away into air. She was without paranoia, and without chaotic imagination.

It was good, but she knew it wouldn't have lasted forever. Nothing did.

Sighing, she dropped the towel and moved towards the drawer where Maika had pointed out. Really, the girl was small in stature, and shorter than she was. If she tried to try those clothes on, it would have looked like a very odd sight indeed. Then again, it could have been a baggy version...

She pulled out the PJ's with hesitance; a darker blue than Maika's, but this seemed to add to the girl's addiction to this color. Setsuka sighed once more, before shedding the damp clothes she had on now, deciding there was nothing she could do with her undergarments before slipping on the shirt and respective pants.

Surprisingly, it fit. A hint of skin here and there, mostly the hands and stomach, but at least it didn't show excessive amounts. Oh well; it would suit their purpose. At least she had rinsed her face off; her clothing hadn't soaked against her skin all that bad, and the warm air was quickly drying the moisture against her hair.

Still...it was a little embarrassing, wearing someone else's clothes. A little indecent...and awkward. It was obvious Setsuka didn't attend sleep-overs as a daily habit.

As she stepped into the bathroom and shut the door behind her, Maika ought to have been feeling a little bit of guilt for what she was doing, but right then she was riding a bit of a high that she didn't want to come down from. Instead she just grinned and continued to hum happily. Splashing some cold water on her face, she shivered a little at its touch. It seemed her body wouldn't be happy till she'd managed to raise her temperature at least ten more degrees. Grabbing a towel she started to pat her hair dry. As she was doing this she looked up into the mirror.

Ehh....she looked terrible! Her hair was wet and matted against her head, bits sticking out every which way. Her face was pale in some places and scarlet in others. But what got her most was her eyes. They were puffy and red, like she'd just gotten done crying....oh yeah...she had just been crying...

She gently brushed her eyes, it wouldn't be good for her to go out looking like that anymore. Opening the cabinet, Maika reached in a pulled out a bottle of solution and a small case. Once upon a time Maika had been stuck wearing glasses, but when her father decided she'd be going to school at Jardin he'd gottne her a set of contacts. One of the many gifts he gave her to try and make up for the time he never gave. Now she only wore her glasses before she went to sleep. She looked up and gave herself a once-over. Satisfied, she took a brisk spin and opened the door.

On the other side a delightful sight met her eyes. There was Setsuka, dressed in a pair of her dark blue PJ's, looking rather uncomfortable. Maika snickered slightly before she could stop herself. It wasn't her fault! The PJ's were just a bit too small for the taller girl! And that look on her face was just a bit too much for Maika to help it!

"Well! Look what we have here...." She giggled a little before being a ble to stifle it.
"Sorry! Sorry Set-chan! You just look a little....silly is all!"

With a bit a giggle still in her voice she came over and smiled up at Setsuka. It was nice like this....it felt like she needed to feel good right now. She'd spent the whole day feeling like hell. Being angry to sad to happy to....well that....All she wanted right now was to feel happy. And so she plopped herself onto her bed and smiled widely for the world to see!

She was interrupted from her musing when a soft chuckle filtered through the air, and Setsuka, being one of great observation and a Master at Guessing, blushed a bright scarlet. Well, of course she looked silly! It was unheard of that she would even wear such clothing, even in the comfort of solitude, as she normally only wore shorts and a t-shirt to bed, considering it was far more easier to breathe while sleeping.

Naturally, she hated confinement of any sort, and even now, she wished that she would have at least some courage to unbutton the top for some air. However, she wasn't about to throw away her dignity - what's left of it, anyway - and so only struggled to retain her sense of composure.

"Well, of course," she stated as a matter-of-factly, or muttered more like, "This is sizes too small, and it's a bit...ah, tight around some areas." There was no avoiding the subject - Setsuka wasn't that well endowed in terms of what the other girl's bore, but it was no secret that she did have something to show for. Not that there was any point in flaunting it, but judging by the clothes she had on currently...well, it was embarrassing.

She smiled tentatively back at her companion, hoping that Maika would be unable to read minds as she wandered around a little (carefully avoiding the other side). She traced patterns of imagination against the wood, curiosity filling her up like a balloon with helium as she looked at the various array of toys on the floor. This was a change, most definitely, even if she compared it to other rooms she had visited.

Before she could continue her little investigation, a gentle click signalled the water had reached far beyond boiling point. Setsuka looked over, and without anything else to say, said, "Do you drink coffee normally, or is it always cocoa?"

Well, at least no-one could blame her for not trying. Trying was not failing, and failing was not trying. You always succeeded in trying, but you always failed if you didn't. The tangents running through her head was a mess, and she shook her head frantically, as if to push the water from her ears.

With eager eyes she watched as Setsuka went he various stages of embaressment. It was so cute! Maika knew first-hand just how strong and....scary Setsuka could be. To look at her now, Maika could barely imagine that other Setsuka. It was a part of her she'd never seen before, and she couldn't help but laugh. She WAS right though....those clothes really WERE too small for her! And a bit tight in certain areas....
Normally this was where her common sense would kick in and scold her for thinking like that, but it seemed like in the face of how good she was feeling, Maika's common sense had decided to take a break. A little looking never hurt anyone! And besides, now for the first time Maika could tell that Setsuka was strong. Her body showed that off easily now that only a very thin layer of cloth stood between them.

"But Set-chan! You look so cute!"

It was nice at the same time though, being able to see her like that. Maika felt a warm feeling rising in her, when she watched Setsuka sort of shuffle around the room, looking at everything. Setsuka had always seemed so distant. When they'd first met, Maika hadn't been able to read her very well, but something had told her that her 'Stalker' had so much more within her that Maika couldn't see. She was more right then she'd ever dreamed she'd be, but that hadn't taken away from the slight wonder she felt then as she saw another part slowly reveal itself. Watching an embaressed Set-chan was....simply put....a joy.

And so when she heard the little bell ring from her coffe-machine, Maika didn't immediately jump up to grab it. Instead she chose to simply watch Setsulka for a moment, leting their eyes meet. She let the look stay for a few more seconds than she should before smiling and rolling off the bed. Two mugs appeared from her desk as she opened the little packets of cocoa mix. As she pured she turned and looked happily at Set-chan.

"Well....I have to admit that coffee is a weakness of mine....I ususally have it at the cafe though! Its a little hard to make a Latte with just a regular machine. I've meaning to get one but I always forget while I'm in town! Here you go."

Maika held out the steaming mug.

Upon the mention of a certain affectionate 'compliment', Setsuka's reply was a muttered, "That's what you think," but she couldn't stop the grin seeping in. She did disagree with Maika, but the fact that she had been associated with such a word in the first place was hilarity in itself. She bit back the laugh, though, since encouraging the other was the last thing on her mind at the moment.

She should probably stop sticking her nose where it didn't belong as well. Sighing with a last, curious glance around the room, Setsuka made her way towards the space Maika had previously occupied on the bed and plonked herself on the surface. She glanced at her somewhat bare stomach, noting the light, faint scars spread across the smooth expanse of flesh, and subconsciously tugged the shirt down to no avail. She never liked to be reminded of her old injuries, and only hoped that Maika wouldn't get close enough to see them.

More apparent, though, was the slowly darkening swirls and marks across her arms; one ran up her left wrist, and the tip could be seen, when the sleeve failed to be long enough to provid coverage. Setsuka only pulled that down too - her own body reminded her of that fate, and she would have continued to lose herself in tormenting thoughts and Maika not interrupted her with the offering of cocoa, and an accompanying answer to her previous question.

Thankfully, she was capable of hearing and deep thinking on some level, and she quickly ruffled through her mind for bits of words. Accepting the mug with a grateful 'thank you', she held it close against her, relishing in the burning warmth that spread through her hands. Hopefully she wouldn't drop it, for her palms were turning quite red indeed. Ignoring this change in color, she grinned at her companion, "I suppose coffee is like your drug, then?" It was an accidental ironic statement, and one Setsuka failed to pick up, "Aren't those machines expensive? I mean, you have a job, right? But student budgets shouldn't be spent on beverage making technology."

Quickly shaking her head, she smiled apologetically, "But I'm not your mother, so it doesn't matter. I'm not that into coffee, anyway, so the opinion's biased." She brought the liquid filled cup to her lips, poking her tongue out to gently taste the surface before quickly retracting her mouth from the rim.

Ouch, that was hot.

Maika only half-heard Setsuka's grudging denial. She laughed a little and sat next to the taller girl. Setsuka obviously hadn't looked at herself in mirror lately. Sure, she looked a little worse for wear right now, but then so did she. But in the end it wasn't the looks that Maika was really commenting on. She'd seen something there that made her smile. A side of Setsuka that she didn't show easily, and Maika felt so happy that Setsuka was willing to let her guard down enough to show it to her.

Setting her mug down for a moment, Maika began ruffling about in the blankets that covered her bed. In a wierd sort of spinning movement, Maika curled up in a nest of warm blankets and pillows. It all looked rather silly, but Maika was warm now. She gingerly took the mug in her hands and held it close, happily taking in its warmth. She'd purposely only used one of her three heavy blankets, just in case Setsuka felt a little cold.

"Well I guess you could call it my drug! Love it! Can't seem to get enough of it! Tha's what it mans to be addicted isn't it?"

Mailka chuckled, she probably was addicted, but she just couldn't help it! Sipping carefully at her mug with the practiced ease of someone used to drinking hot liquids, she gasped as the warm drink filled with a confortable sense of contentment. This was wonderful! After such a rough day out in the cold, it felt sooooo good to sit warm and cozy with someone, sipping hot cocoa!

The comment about a job though gave MAika a pause, but she pressed it away quickly, not wanting to lose the feeling she had.

"Ah...well I don't have a job or anything. My parents pay for everything! Well, my father anyways. He's got an important job with a medical company in the US. Its called CellTec I think. I get a lot of stuff like this..."

The surface of the mattress dipped a little as extra weight was added when Maika sat down beside her, and then started to pile up all the blankets and infinite pillows (wasn't there a limit to how many was allowed in one room?) like an insecure child. Really, she looked like an Eskimo, but Setsuka supposed it was fairly cold. Her body was well-adapted to the room temperature, and besides, it would have been odd to snatch the covers all to herself.

"Well I guess you could call it my drug! Love it! Can't seem to get enough of it! Tha's what it mans to be addicted isn't it?"

"At least you admit it; the problem arises when an addict refuses to describe their yearning for a certain substance as an addiction." She grinned, "Mm, I suppose. Isn't there psychological and physiological aspects to addiction, though?" From the combined science class she had taken, the teacher had touched briefly on the subject in the Biology section, but Setsuka had to say honestly that she wasn't too interested in that subject. Substance abuse was just one of the many problems humans as a whole faced on a day to day basis.

She almost dropped her cup when an unnecessarily exaggerated gasp sounded beside her, and she glanced nervously, "Uh." It was always so awkward when someone was drinking, or eating next to her, and though she believed that talking with ones mouth full was bad manners, it still didn't detract from the discomfort of the situation.

"Ah...well I don't have a job or anything. My parents pay for everything! Well, my father anyways. He's got an important job with a medical company in the US. Its called CellTec I think. I get a lot of stuff like this..."

"Oh?" Setsuka quirked an eyebrow; huh, that was odd. She could barely recall something about a waitress, but then decided to pass that off as someone else. She could have sworn that Maika had some form of a job prior to now, obviously. "Hm, I see. So maybe splurging or budgets aren't really so important to manage by yourself then?"

There was no hint of jealousy in her tone; Setsuka found that pining over material assets was pointless, and considering her current situation...well, she would love it if money could buy the medicine she needed, but unfortunately, she would be hard pressed to find a doctor willing to configure elemental flesh into digestible pills. "Oh well. That's good, right?"

The brunette chuckled, finally diving into deep waters as she took a sip of the burning liquid. It had cooled down a little, but it left her tongue feeling slightly...well, feeling-less. "Hey, this is pretty good!" From what she could taste, anyway, "Not as good as green tea, but it's warm."

A typical Asian girl, typical choice of beverage; stereotypical, but no doubt true.

Maika slmost snickered when Setsuka started talking about addiction. She sounded like a teacher! In fact...Setsuka might just make a great teacher! Maika suddenly had a mental picture of Setsuka...with a few more years added on of course! The years had beeen very kind to her by the way! She was dressed all fancy in a dark skirt and blouse. Her hair was done up in a bun and she had these little glasses on that made her look oh so intellectual. Her students were all pretty young girls like they were here at Jardin....in fact she worked at Jardin! She was sooo nice to her students and they all loved her. Some a little more than they should, and Professer Setsuka would always get little love notes from her admiring kids.

Maika started to giggle again, almost against her will, as this little fantasy started playing through in her head. Setsuka WOULD make a good teacher though. She stole a look at the girl next to her as she sipped her cocoa.

"Well...I guess I do have a job...sorta. I work at the cafe part-time, but thats more for something to do than anythng else. Plus I get all the free coffee I want!"

She gave a toothy grin at that comment. It was true though! She definitely couldn't argue with a job benefit like that!
Maika quieted down a little when Setsuka brough the whole money thing up. It was a bit of a touchy subject for her that she usually just gave the same story about and laughed off. That look that Setsuka had on her face when she mentioned it gave Maika pause though.

"Its....kinda good I guess..."

Thankfully, Setsuka was incapable of reading minds, otherwise she would have died from embarrassment from the little images running through Maika's mind. Of course, the only place she would be a teacher would be solely in her companion's mind, for the brunette didn't really like talking to so many people in one go. This was, however, perfectly from a clueless point of view, and currently, she was not thinking about her future career choices.

"Well...I guess I do have a job...sorta. I work at the cafe part-time, but thats more for something to do than anythng else. Plus I get all the free coffee I want!"

"Eh...that's good, I supposed. It's better than sitting at home with nothing to do." Those people were either lazy, or some form of slow-moving creature. Like a snail, or a turtle. Speaking of which, Setsuka was reminded of the phase she went through as a small kid - something about wanting a turtle as a pet, and feeding it and taking care of it. Her Uncle said they smelled, and quickly banished the idea from his mind. Young Setsuka had ranted for days about how she would buy special 'turtle perfume'.

Granted, she was only seven at the time, and the present self realized that it had been a tad silly to throw a tantrum over. Especially since her Uncle had been right. And that there was no such thing as turtle perfume, much to her disappointment.

"Its....kinda good I guess..."

The hesitance was there, and she knew it. It seemed to be a...touchy subject, though, so she only nodded, "Yeah..." Financial difficulties, debts, expectations... the options were endless, but Setsuka wasn't about to touch upon what was supposedly a raw topic.

She bit her lip silently, holding the cup close to herself now, "...um, hey, Maika?" Her fingers clutched against the mug tightly, her knuckles turning a sickening white as the force applied was far too apparent, "About...about what just happened...y'know, before...it wasn't anything...anything serious, right?" She turned a quizzical eye on the other's form, yet not really looking at the girl. Her voice was strangely higher in pitch, and there was an answer she was hoping for - but hoping and anticipating were two different things.

The conversation had to crop up sooner or later; it just decided for the former instead of the latter.

Maika sat happily there, sipping her cocoa and letting those silly thoughts run around in her head. Setsuka had decided not to press the issue of her money and for that Maika wanted to hug her! She wisely decided not to, so instead sat and enjoyed the company. It was nice....just to have someone there. She didn't worry about what had happened or what might happen two weeks from now. It wasn't in her nature to worry too much, even though she knew she would have to face it sooner or later. Right then she opted for later. RIght then she was determined just to simply enjoy the moment!

]"...um, hey, Maika?"

Maika looked up from her cup of cocoa suddenly, her fantasy having been cut short right around a particulary tense scene with the Gym teacher and a jammed storeroom door. As she looked up at her, Maika could see Setsuka looking very....worried? What could possbly be wrong?

"Yeah? What's up Set-chan?" Maika chirped.

"About...about what just happened...y'know, before...it wasn't anything...anything serious, right?"

What was she talking about? What had happened.....before.....oh...
And just like that, all thoughts about Maikajust enjoying the moment, all of her little fantasies in her ehad, it all came crashing down. With just a few words she was force to pull out everythign that had happened so far and look it right in the eye. All of the emotions that had been buried in her current wave of excitement started to creep back into the edges of her mind.

With downcats eyes, Maika stared into the cup in her hands, as though she might ba able to find answers in it. Sadnly cocoa is not very good at giving life answers. She had to tell her something....she owed Setsuka that much....after what she'd done. It stung a little still, thinking about what she had done to her....
And so...with her eyes still glued to her cup (Maika didn't trsyst herslef to look Setsuka in the eyes at that moment) she gave the best answer she could.

"I....I'm not sure...myself....I'm sorry."
