For a second Ami thought she was going to refuse. Since she couldn't see her she could only guess. Was she considering, was she trying to find a way to let her down tactfully...what?

But then she spoke and relief made her shoulders sag slightly and that was the first she realised she'd braced herself. The whisper slipped over her ear and down her spine, toes curling in response. She didn't have long to wait to find out just where this place was and she stared up at the building over the rim of her glasses that had at some point slipped slightly lower on the bridge of her nose. She pushed it back up before taking the hand that was offered probably lingering a millisecond too long in holding on to it.

Her gaze widened at the number of motorcycles she could see and the variations. All gleaming colours and shapes. Now that she was off the bike she could stare and as always she stopped walking completly. She noticed the people almost as a secondary notion.

Ami wasn't quite sure however how to take Luke's words, complimentary or simply and indication that she was just one of many. Still habit made her turn to look behind herself, just to make sure it was her he was actually referring to. A kind smile touched her face...bless his heart, he was either deluded or extremly sweet. She decided she would take it as a compliment. However when Yuko said it with seemingly no jest and so casually she blushed to her very roots.

There was something in the way she said 'my own' that made Ami think she wouldn't mind being possessed just as long as--

Her thoughts were instantly broken as her hand was taken into a rather large one and she was staring up at Luke and his most friendly smile. A nervously shy one touched her lips in response wanting to be friendly but inadequately prepared for the sudden contact. Her 'Hello" stuck somewhere in the back of her throat.

Thankfully her hand was taken back and she watched them speak quietly but when Yuko smiled at her she couldn't help smiling back even as she questioned "your family...?" She wasn't quite sure what she was to expect.

Yuko smiled at the question as it was also accompanied by a puzzled expression as well as very unsure smile. She was awfully cute! Yuko kept her smile as she nodded a yes. "My family. Well they aren't my family by blood, but we are so close its like a family."

And just like that, Yuko was pushed against Ami, pinning her against the wall as their faces so very close. It so happens that Yuko was tackled from behind. So very close to Ami, Yuko blushed heavily. "Are you okay princess? I'm sorry, I didn't hurt you did I?" That's when another face shifted to Yukos side. Now a total of 4 eyes looking at Ami.

"Cecilia! Look what you made me do. I told you that tackling people from behind was dangerous." Yuko said in a very unhappy tone. "But Yu-Chan! I love tackling you.. And nobody told you to move so close to her and now you won't move away from her." Then Cecilia grinned, "So is this your new lover? Yu-Chan she's adorable! You have a thing for princesses don't you?"

Yuko blushed, "No, its just.. " Then she was interrupted. "Hey! Quit flirting around and leave poor Yuko alone Cecil! Yuko didn't you want to see my baby?" His eyes glowing with pride. Laughing, Yuko takes hold of Amis hand, but before she was about to lead, Cecilia grabbed Yukos wrist. "Yu-Chan, you don't need to drag her everywhere. Plus I haven't had a chance to introduce myself to her. Why don't you go and talk with big guy while your new girlfriend and I talk?"

Yuko looked at Ami as if to see if it was okay with her. Whatever was good with Ami was for her as well.

That's when it hit Yuko, girlfriend?!

it had taken a moment for her world to re-right itself having been knocked off her centre of gravity so unexpectedly but once it did, it was promptly unseated again as she realised the position she was in. She looked up eyes wide with her breath caught on a gasp of surprise. In many ways she was thankfull that she was pinned for if she wasn't she knew she would have slid down the wall completely weak at the knees.

"I-I'm okay, no harm done." she said far too quickly tearing her gaze from Yuko's to the new set that now peered at her. As if her current predicament was embarassing enough the unabashed, so straightforwardly used word 'lover' practically made her choke on her surprise. These people...such easily used words with straight faces. If she'd held a thermometer to her face at this point she was sure it would have exploded. Such a word she had never used or had used in her company only ever in novels she was simply not about to admit to reading.

She stared at Cecilia in stunned silence unable to do more than watch the interaction. She probably realised the use of the word girlfriend before Yuko did, perhaps that was what that slightly surpised look that filtered across her face was.

"I don't mind staying with Cecilia." She said with a small smile feeling a little sorry for Yuko and also thinking that perhaps the teasing might stop if she was away from her for awhile. She didn't really want to cause her any embarasment. She'd already been through enough. "I'll be good and not break anything, promise." she said her smile widening.

Yuko was uncertain about leaving Ami alone with Cecilia. Cecilia was the type of girl that would try to steal other peoples loves away from them. But this shouldn't bother her, Ami was not her lover. And yet why did she feel hesitant and a tad bit scared?

She looked at Ami then at Cecilia. "Alright, Cecilia I trust you to make sure nothing happens to her." She then stood before Ami as she placed her right hand on her waist and took the position as if they were to dance. That's when Yuko placed her forehead against Amis as she smiled pulling her close. "I won't be gone long, Big guy just wants to show off his new bike. And we may talk about things that may bore you my princess. Just be careful, okay? After this, ill bring you to my favorite place." Yuko smiles as she kissed Amis cheek before letting her go.

Yuko walks pass Cecilia walks by with nothing else being said to her. With that, Cecilia grins as she looks at Ami as if she was a new toy. Cecilia walks close to Ami as she lifted Amis chin. "You are beautiful, Yuko was right I see. My name is Cecilia, and yours my dear is Ami, am I right?"

Cecilia smirked as she glanced back seeing Yuko talking with big guy. "How did you do it? To get Yukos attention? She has never brought a woman to our den before. She must really like you."

Ami momentarily wondered why Yuko seemed rather reluctant to lleave her behind thinking she may be worried about leaving her behind. She truely didn't mind. She was fine with waiting and she gave what she hoped was a reassuring smile. Still she couldn't help the skip of her heart as it missed a beat at being so close and at the smile she gave. Ami could only nod in response but it was eager at the chance to learn of her favourate place.

She was still smiling as she watched her leave to touch of her lips still tingling on her cheek filling her with a fuzzy warmth that soon disappeared as she realised Cecilia was soon next to her and lifting her chin. She blinked in surprise her features soft with confusion.

"Y-yes." she answered quietly thinking that mayhaps it hadn't been so wise to remain with her. Her confusion trippled at the next question brow rising slightly as she thought.

"I-I don't know..." suddenly her expression brightened "Ah, Yuko's my roomate. I'm glad to have been placed with her, she's ever so friendly and kind." Her voice fell to a softly breathed rush of excitement "We are currently on a sort of tour, she's showing me around because...well I don't know this area."

She looked at Cecilia with a smile "You must know Yuko very well, are you one of her close friends too?"

Cecilia examined Amis face and then smiled in content as she was asked that question. "I knew Yuko since childhood. We grew up very close and did a lot of things together." Then Cecilia laughed pulling Ami to a nearby table with 2 seats. Sitting on one, Cecilia offered the other to her.

"So she's just showing you around cause she's your roomate. I see.. And here I was worried you two were together. I may not look it, but Yuko and I used to go out. But that was long ago."

Cecilia then smiled as she looked at Ami. "But its no wonder Yuko is so nice to you. You are a splitting image of a princess, beautiful, kind, and charming."

Cecilia then got up as she walked into the kitchen. "Would you like anything to drink? We have a huge selection so no worries."

She smiled as she looked over at Ami, "Plus Yuko and my taste are very similar, if your her target then something tells me that I may fall for you as well. Yuko better be careful, it was a gamble leaving you with me. That's why I'm surprised she did so. But then the way she parted with you, I'm rethinking. Tell me the truth, are you and Yuko lovers?"

Ami took a seat pushing her hair back as she did. She couldn't imagine knowing somone for that long. It had been something she had always wanted to have but didn't so she smiled almost enviously.

She didn't say anything about Cecilia's revelation because she couldn't trust herself to. Ever worried about people's feelings she didn't know whether 'long ago' was long enough for her to feel comfortable enough to talk about it. She couldn't say sorry and she couldn't encourage her to try if she still liked her for truth be told...and it was so very selfish...she didn't want her to. She might flatter her most unnecesarily but she herself was beautiful, she could see why anyone would go out with her. The differences made her feel most...inadequate.

"No, we aren't together" Ami replied with a small smile hands fidgeting in her lap before folding her arms in a small unconsious hug. She blushed at the compliment thinking silently as her smile turned arkward that she really needed to learn to take a compliment. "um...thank you." she said gaze set on a fixed point just below actual eye contact "And yes I would like a glass of water, thank you."

She'd relaxed a bit as Cecilia went to the kitchen putting some distance between then and she felt less like she was being...accessed. She gave a small sigh and looked around actually taking in her environment properly for the first time. Her study was interupted though as her gaze flicked over to Cecilia in surprise.

Target?!
"I-I think you have completely the wrong idea-" She began weakly suddenly wondering if it had been such a wise idea to remain with Cecilia. She broke off at the word 'Lovers' face steaming up quicker than she would have liked. Something told her it was a word she was going to have to get used to around Cecilia but still at this point she couldn't help it. "No..." she practically whispered in embarassment her hands back to fidgeting in her lap as she laughed a little, taking Cecilia's comment about falling for her as a joke.

Even if she only admitted it to herself it had felt somewhat posessive, more than even close friends. Had she been so focused on seeing Yuko's kindness and attention as simply indulging her, being a prince to a girl who had lived her life so long under the delusion of wanting to be a princess. So much so that she was unable to distinguish...or more accurately too scared to. To make a mistake could ruin the simple friendship beyond repair.

"Cecilia..." she began softly "since you've known her for so long, what's she like?"

Cecilia poured a glass of cold water as she made another glass of tea for herself. It wasn't until she placed the two glasses down did she start to talk. "Yuko.. " She whispered as she stared into her tea. "If.. there ever was such a thing as a prince, its Yuko. Charming, handsome, kind, gentle, understanding, and much more.." Cecilia turned her glass as she looked up at Ami.

"I hurt her.. and I feel miserable for it. I love Yuko dearly.. She is everything and more you could ever want in a man. Its as if, God himself made her as a woman to punish all the females in the world." Cecilia laughed as she drinks out of her cup. "Yuko, so protective.. so stubborn.. and forgiving. I'm sorry.. Ami. I know what Yuko and I had is over but, just seeing the way she acts around you, I'm envious."

Cecilia closes her eyes, "You will feel warm and safe within her arms. Her breath and voice sends chills over your body. The strength she puts into her embraces, as if nobody in the world mattered but you. Eyes full of passion.. " Cecilia turns her head over at Yuko as she laughs with big guy. "She loves you.. Its plain as day to see. I have never seen her at peace and happy when she's with you. Those eyes that looked on me with love and passion is now focused on you."

Cecilia leaned close and took Amis hands. "I still love Yuko.. But she will never be mine again, not after what I did.."

~Meanwhile with Yuko~

"Yuko, so what's the story with the damsel over there with Cecil? She's beautiful." Big guy asked as he placed an arm around Yukos shoulders. "Uh.. She's just a friend.." Yuko blushed. "You are not so good in lying Yuko. Never were. Tell me, what is she to you?" Yuko looked away. "I don't want to ruin anything with what we have now. If she doesn't feel the same, things will never be the same."

Big guy looked at Yuko as he sighed. "Tell me what you like about her what you feel when your with her." Yuko glanced at Ami as she smiled. "Many things big guy.. My heart beats incredibly fast by just looking at her. And when we danced.. It was as if a dream.. Oh big guy she is just amazing.." Yuko then looks at big guy as he held a big smile. "My Yuko is in love!" he carried Yuko and started swinging her around. Yuko blushed deeply as she put herself down. "I don't know if I'm in love.. But please don't tell anyone.. I want to find out on my own.."

Ami pulled her glass closer to her unconsiously leaning forward as she listened to Cecilia speak. She almost smiled at the description of Yuko being made female instead of male as a punishment to all females but her smile left within as she felt it was a rather good description. She silently wondered how it was she could have hurt her but didn't feel it was kind to pry that far. She seemed sad about it already, only an unfeeling boar would push further to sate their curiosity. She did feel however rather guilty as she listened to her speak and though she ought not to feel so, for she had nothing with Yuko, she did. Like she'd been awfully cruel without realising it.

She reached for her water the action completely needed just as much as drinking from it. Her throat was dry and she needed to hide her face. That terribly guilty expression that said she was far too familiar with what Cecilia meant by the effects of Yuko's voice, breath, hold, eyes...And simultaniously guiltly. However it came back to haunt her as she choked on her water eyes growing wide.

Love. Yuko loved her?!
She placed her hand over her mouth coughing as the ridiculous notion ran through her mind. It couldn't be because well they'd only just met and because she could simply not believe that Yuko could love someone she'd only just met, further more it did not come from her own lips but that of another.

Was she to be the butt of some joke? It was simply just too impossible to be handed on a silver platter exactly what she wanted. In her experience, and how she had tried to shut it out, life never swung that way. Her other hand was caught. Tears welled up in her eyes as she pulled back her hand and leant to the side of the table unable to stop coughing.

"That's ridiculous." she squeeked between her coughing as it settled down now. How terribly unfair to say such things when she hadn't expected it. "I'm sorry." she said apologetically from behind the hand that covered her mouth. "I think the water went down the wrong way." She wiped at her eyes "I'm so sorry."

She wasn't quite sure what she was apologising for anymore.

Cecilia was shocked as she watched Ami pull away, coughing as she got up and started patting Ami on her back. "Are you alright?"

Then at the word 'ridiculous' Cecilia looked at Yuko then at Ami. "I don't see it as ridiculous.. Do you believe in love at first sight? Surely someone who thinks Yuko as a prince believes in a fantasy tale like that. I do."

Cecilia then took hold of Amis hand as she pulled her up. Smiling, she grinned at Ami and pulled her by the hand towards Yuko and big guy. "Say as you want Ami.. I know you have felt those sensations when embraced by Yuko." She giggled as she yelled out, "Yu-Chan! Think fast!" She pushed Ami towards Yuko as Yuko caught her blinking confusedly looking down at Ami.

Cecilia then took big guys hand as she pulled him away mentioning something about a part of her bike that needed to be looked at. "But Cecilia, I'm not done with Yuko." he complained. "Yeah, there's always a tomorrow."

As the two retreated, Yuko looked back down as she smiled. "I suppose I should thank my princess for rescueing me." She laughed as she took hold of Amis hand. "Well then, since I'm free, let's go check my favorite place."

Never mind Yuko having to think fast, Ami herself hadn't realised exactly what she was in for. First she'd made her face things she wasn't sure she wanted to in order to perhaps get as good a nights sleep as she would like and the next moment she was hurled right back into them when she was doing her utmost best to lie them away. She half fell into those arms staring up for a moment in surprise ridding any chance of hiccups. She wasn't quite sure if Cecilia knew that or if it was just an unplanned result.

She hadn't thought she would be caught. And then she was unable to look at her for very long gaze falling. Love at first sight, that was something only she', to her knowledge, had believed in. A real prince and princess tale but she also knew the reality she lived in. So was it really possible that she could be 'that' lucky. She was having a hard time believing and just as hard a time getting it out of her head.

"um hello..." she said cheeks flaming. She was doing her best not to focus on the fact that her heartbeat seemed to have increased again, blaming it instead on the surprise. That was it.

She smiled at her smile and it widened slightly at her laugh as she followed Ami began to think she really really was doomed. But in the same breath she didn't care. It didn't matter at this point, perhaps later but that was later. For right now she held onto the hand that held hers and simply let herself enjoy the tingling joy that seemed to come from just holding hands.

Maybe it was okay...to only admit it to herself.
I really like you, completely, utterly, absolutely...
And there was no response, no idication she'd been heard for a word hadn't passed her lips. The world hadn't ended and Yuko? Still held her hand, was still there, and all still was as it had been. She couldn't reject something that had never been said.

"I can't wait, I'm curious." She said.

Yuko couldn't help but smile her brightest as she looked at Ami. Though it wasn't long, there was a sense that made it feel as if they were parted for days. Bringing up Amis hand, Yuko placed a soft kiss upon it before speaking, "I missed you. Not to mention worried with who I left you with. Cecilia didn't.. try to do anything to you did she? I couldn't help but see you and her holding hands. You two look good together. I'm envious." Yuko looked away as she felt somewhat stung in her chest. She wanted to feel her chest but to refrain herself from making a scene, she held it down.

Yuko was silent as she looked at the ground. "My favorite place, is a place I go to whenever I feel upset, saddened, or indecisive. A place, that whenever you need to find me, I will be there."

Yuko led Ami by the hand as they went up some stairs and into a room that seemed to be someones bedroom. The room had a very calm and serene feel to it as it was also dorned with trophies and medals. Yuko led Ami to a closet as she pulled down an opening from the top. Only to reveal a ladder.

"Up here, my princess." Yuko made room for Ami to go first. Following her up the ladder, they came to yet another room. "I know this looks plain, but the reason this is my favorite place, is because of this.." Yuko walked over to the window as she opened it. She climbed up the window and stepped outside. She turned and offered her hand.

Bringing Ami up, together they stood as the breeze blew past them. The most beautiful scenery before them. Vast ocean, light breeze, nature itself at its best. Holding onto Amis hand, Yuko smiled. "Beautiful.." Although she said that, her eyes were on Ami.

ooc; so soooory for being a late poster, I was completely shattered yesterday since I got the late shift at work, all i wanted to do when i got back was just sleep so I fell sleep half way through my post. Terribly sorry.
-----------------------------------

She probably shouldn't have but there was a part of her that harboured a tentative sense of elation at the simple "I missed you." but she shook her head to indicate nothing untoward had happened. Even so she wasn't sure just how to broach the idea of looking good with Cecilia considering just who and what the subject of the conversation had been .

Her brows drew together with a slight look of worry at the silence that hung in the air before Yuko spoke. A small flutter of panic came, was she sad? uneasy? about to say something difficult? something Ami wouldn't want to hear? There was an almost perceptable wave of relief when Yuko began talking again and she didn't interupt following her as if scared that Yuko would change her mind.

The room she was presented with...she stared for a moment and more so at the trophies and medals, more than she could ever think of having, the only medal she'd ever had had been for third place in a relay race and she had felt on top of the world. Her best had never seemed quite good enough for any medals so that single one had meant the world. She wondered briefly if this was Yuko's room. It was in fact on the tip of her tongue to ask but then she was presented with the closet, confusion turning into awe.

A secret doorway, she thought romantically, Just like in all the good adventure tales. Where did it lead she wondered excitedly, already she liked this, this was oh so exciting. Up in the next room its plainess wasn't something that occured to her she had far too active an imagination for that. Yet there seemed to be more to see, she took the offered hand with a bright smile climbing up to meet her. The wind caught her clothes gently and sent a few strands of her floating but the view simply took her breath away.

She heard the word she'd only thought herself and she turned to Yuko eyes brightly excited, "isn't it just, its...amazing. You are so lucky, I can understand why this place would be your favorate." Her other hand covered the one that held hers. "However did you find this place?"

OOC: Lol! Not at all princess! I'd rather wait and you get your sleep than for you to post when you are tired. I was just worried is all. *smiles*

-------

Yuko smiled as she nodded in agreement. "It is wonderful." At the question Yuko sat down as she leaned back. "I was moving in, new to the gang. Its that, the newer you are to the gang, the smaller the room. I've been here for 10 years. But after stumbling upon this, I didn't want any other room. I slept at the dorms so the need for a bigger room wasn't necessary."

Yuko closed her eyes as she remained quiet. The breeze passing them as the sun slowly sets. "Princess.." Yuko whispered. "I can't wait to win that race. And when I do. I want you to stand by me." Yuko opened her eyes. "Will you wait for me at the finish line?"

Yuko then shook her head as she offered her hand to Ami to bring her down so she sit next to her. "I mean... if you want to... it is up to you..."

ooc; awww it's so kind of you to worry, thank you kiss (and where sleep might be important, yes, this for me is rather alot more fun, sleep is for afterwards, unless, as you can see, I fall asleep half way through. The shame of it all.)
------------------------------------------

Ami had to agree, why would anyone want any other room. this. This was that quirky little room with the great big secret. Being up here felt like being on top of the world in the turrets of a little castle. She looked over at Yuko who had gone quiet, eyes now closed. Peaceful was what she seemed and perhaps a touch...She searched for the right word...soft? mayhaps vulnerable. Did she look like that when she slept too?

Her gaze travelled over her features taking them in at her own pace for the first time. She wasn't so shy now that she wasn't being watched or distracted by those eyes, or the effect they had on her heart. It was a simple almost covert appreciation that ended up settling on her mouth hovering there for a few seconds longer than they ought before darting back to the view ahead. Her cheeks suddenly warm against the breeze.

She almost jumped when Yuko spoke.
"If you want me to I can think of nothing I would rather do, promise." She said with a smile unable to meet those eyes now that they were open but she took the offered hand allowing it to guide her down next to Yuko.

"I think it will be a lot of fun and I bet you will whoop everyone's buttocks." she said almost thoughtfully completely setting to ruin yet another well known phrase and barely realising it. She did however realise that she hadn't let the poor girl's hand go moments later she did now with a mumbled apology.
