Mai stood outside the movie theater wearing her school uniform holding two tickets to a movie that was playing in an hour. She wasn't planning on going to the movies today but had won two free tickets off a radio contest and since the horror film sounded kind of interesting had decided to go. Thing was they had given her two tickets and she had thought it be such a waste not to use the other ticket and was waiting to see if anyone walk by who she could give it to.

Unlike Mai, Asphodel was not wearing her school uniform. Her hair was held by two powder blue ribbons and the sleeves of her light blue dress slipped over her shoulders.

White knee-highs tipped with pale pink lace and a pair of blue, high-heeled Mary Janes adorned her feet. The blue and white lace choker around her neck and a shopping bag in her hands added the final touches.

Asphodel had spent the better part of the day shopping and was rather pleased with the results. Admittedly, she wouldn't be able to eat for a good few days, but a good shopping spree was always good to relieve non-existent stress.

She noticed a girl standing uncomfortably in front of the movie theater as she passed...but that wasn't what caught the attention of her large, silver-gray eyes. What had caught her attention was the name of the movie.

She ran across the street (ignoring passing cars), to the movie theater. "Oh, the new movie finally came out! I heard it was supposed to be good," she said.

Contrary to her appearance, Asphodel had something of a fondness for horror movies. Everyone had their guilty pleasures.

Mai quickly noticed a girl crossing the street running passed moving traffic and over to the movie poster of the film she had a ticket for. She thought this would be the perfect way to get rid of the second ticket and hopefully meet someone. Mai walked over to her quickly from behind a serious look crossing her face like always as she tapped the girl on the shoulder. "I have a free ticket for that movie if you'd like" Mai said hoping she be interested.

She jumped slightly at the unexpected tap on her shoulder before whirling around to face the speaker.

A ticket? To this movie?

Asphodel broke into a broad smile.

She dropped her shopping bags, giving the other girl a hug. "Would you really let me have it? Thank you so much! I've been waiting for this movie for ages!" she exclaimed, almost at the border of a squeal, as she stepped away.

She leaned down, retrieving her paper shopping bag from where it had fallen on the sidewalk.

Mai was rather surprised by the girls actions as she hugged her out of nowhere but it felt nice non the less. "Yes you can have it if you'd like" Mai replied looking at her. "I was really hoping you'd want it."

((OOC: Sorry...I have no idea why I've been taking such a long time to respond to this.... ))

"Thank you so much!" she repeated. "I'd love the ticket. I heard the movie got great reviews...Do you want to sit with me?" she asked, adjusting the plastic shopping bags held in her arms.

Well, she couldn't very well sit alone, especially not during a horror movie. "And I'll pay for snacks," her already exhausted funds were complaining, but she didn't mind. She had to pay back this kindness somehow. And this girl had been nice enough to give her a ticket. "It's the least I can do to thank you," Asphodel continued, smiling brilliantly.

"Yes you can sit next to me" Mai replied happily glad that the girl agreed to go with her. She then heard her said she would buy her snacks and that got Mai to give one of her rare smiles. "That sounds greats. Well let's get going as that snack line looks pretty long. Plus I'd hate to get bad seats."

Asphodel laughed, glad that the other girl agreed.

She wrapped her hands around the other girl's wrists and bounded excitedly to the snack line. "I'm Asphodel, by the way. What's your name?" she asked. Well...she was going to see a movie with this girl, they might as well know each other's names, even if this was likely going to be the only time they ever saw each other.
